We would like to congratulate all the great submissions that we received this year. It always amazes us as to the creativity of the students, taking the theme and bringing it into Transcona. This year submissions have Dinosaurs exploring Transcona, climbing the clock tower, roaming the streets next to Hi Neighbour Sam and one even shopping at Marshalls/HomeSense! We are happy to announce that we had over 900 submissions.
Congratulations to our winners below!!
Please note: There were some voting irregularities this year and I had to manually update the votes. What does this mean? I downloaded each submission’s voting record and went through all of the votes. Any votes that were deemed to have been manipulated (for example: change of IP address by one or two numbers and votes reoccurring every 20 seconds for any period of time over and over again were removed). The new total of votes was then recorded. We reviewed the top 100th place submissions, of which 44 entries showed manipulated votes.
I included all the children’s submissions, including ones that had been disqualified early in the competition because I felt no child should be punished for the behaviour of adults. We will not be displaying the number of stars on the winners below. If your child’s submission is not on the list below, they dropped below the threshold of the top 65 places.
This has been a very difficult, timely process and I will not be debating any child’s placement in this contest.
