The BIZ’s Winter Wonderland event is one of our most popular events of the Year and one of the longest. This year our Grand Opening is Saturday, December 10th at 6:00 pm and the lights and trees remain up till the spring melt. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there for photos, and we’ll have choirs, live music performance, fire pit, hot chocolate and more.
We’re also planning the pleasure skating ring once again, and weather permitting it will get underway in time for the holidays.
We have several sponsorship opportunities available for season long exposure in Transcona Centennial Square, including presenting sponsor (naming rights) for the event – “Sponsor name presents Transcona BIZ Winter Wonderland and Skating Pond….” in all signage, reader boards, BIZ Bullet, and social media.

The tree decorating contest is also back for 2016. Buy a special BIZ tree, decorate it (or have BIZ staff decorate it for you), and compete for bragging rights! We have a limited number of trees so please confirm your entry by November 30th. All net proceeds are donated to the Transcona Food Bank.
