Transcona BIZ’s Rooftop Lighting Program began in 2017 as an initiative to make our downtown look beautiful at night and create a safe, inviting ambience for the community. These lights are strings of small, energy-efficient LED bulbs that provide a warm glow all year round, without the added price-tag. If you’re curious about what these lights look like, take an evening stroll in downtown Transcona along Regent Avenue, and look up! As of 2022, the Transcona BIZ had installed brand new rooftop lights on 45 member businesses over the last 3 years, brining a little sparkle to our zone.
The BIZ is committed to supplying, installing, and repairing strings of lights along shopfront rooftops. This service is free of charge for BIZ members, and can be requested by filling out the agreement form.
