Market Garden and Crafters/Flea Market grows larger!
The Transcona Biz Market Garden & Crafters Market was a huge success. Our little market is growing larger every year. Shoppers were busy in the parking lot of the Transcona Christian Reformed Church during eight Thursdays throughout the summer. There was no shortage of fresh, local produce. There was also a diverse display of hand-made creations ranging from artificial wedding and anniversary cakes and memory albums to African crafts to Tupperware and jewelry. Every few weeks we were serenaded by live jazz saxophone. Thanks to all of our producers, crafters, musicians, and shoppers for making this community-building event happen. See you next summer!

If you have any questions or would like to participate in the Market Garden & Crafters/Flea Market next year, please call Diane or Amanda at 222-8566.

Biz Zone Revitalisation
The Board of Directors of Transcona Biz have been diligently working on the first stage of developing a revitalization plan for the Biz area. McGowan Russell has been commissioned to compile this plan.

With dollars provided from the City of Winnipeg, this plan, when completed will define the area and give it an identity all of its own. This planning is in the preliminary stages and when this process is further along, the Biz members will be invited to a special meeting to get their input into the plan. Watch for updates in the Transcona Biz Bullet.
